Over the winter break my family watched the Back to the Future movies. I hadn’t seen them since I was a child, and it was fun to share the experience with my youngest. Back to the Future Part II imagines 2015 in a wild, futuristic way — some predictions were off, but a few, like tablet-like devices and funky sports uniforms, were amusingly close. I’m still waiting for a hoverboard. While browsing online I found a number of clever gadgets I didn’t know I needed and wanted to share them with you.

Here are some of my favorite finds:
Waterproof Shower Speakers
If you love singing in the shower, a waterproof Bluetooth speaker makes it easy to stream playlists or podcasts while you bathe. Look for models with secure suction cups or hooks so they stay put and provide clear sound without risking water damage.
Smart Outlet Switch
A smart plug lets you turn devices on and off remotely from your phone. It’s perfect for lamps, small appliances, or anything you want to schedule or control when you’re away. The convenience and energy savings are worth it.
Clip-In Reusable Shopping Bags
Reusable bags finally designed for everyday life: they clip in neatly to carts and fold compactly for easy storage. They’re sturdy, practical, and make packing groceries faster and cleaner.

Spice Rack Carousel
A rotating spice rack keeps jars organized and accessible. It’s a simple way to find the exact amount you need without rifling through cupboards, and it helps keep your countertop neat.

Compact Personal Safe
If you want to protect valuables but don’t need a large safe, a compact personal unit is ideal. These small safes fit in drawers or closets and secure important documents, jewelry, and other personal items.

Over-the-Door Urban Shelf
An over-the-door shelf provides extra storage for items that are typically out of reach or cluttered on counters. It’s a smart solution for small spaces and keeps essentials handy without permanent installation.
USB Bracelet
Tired of losing flash drives? A USB bracelet keeps a drive secured on your wrist so it’s always with you. It’s a convenient accessory for students, professionals, or anyone who frequently transfers files.

Walkie-Talkie Handset for Mobile Devices
This handset attaches to your phone or tablet and mimics a classic walkie-talkie experience, which can be fun for group outings, events, or as a novelty way to communicate in close quarters.
Pouring Aid
A simple pour spout or pouring gadget helps control liquid flow from bottles and containers, reducing spills and making refills easier. It’s a small tool that makes everyday tasks smoother.
Shoot-the-Alarm Clock Game
For those who love novelty alarms, a target-based alarm clock requires you to aim and “shoot” the clock with a toy gun to silence it. It’s a playful way to wake up and forces you out of bed to stop the noise.

Besides sharing these fun and useful items, I’m also running a giveaway: a cash prize to help you kick off the new year. Use the money to try any of these gadgets, treat yourself to a purse or shoes, or save it for something else you’ve been wanting — it’s up to you. Enter the giveaway below for a chance to win.
