Lambswool and Cashmere Felted Fingerless Gloves for Warmth and Style

That was fun to make. Admittedly it’s the wrong season for heavy felted gloves, even fingerless ones, but winter will be back before long.

The project began with a men’s emerald green lambswool (70%) and cashmere (30%) sweater I found at a charity shop for 25p. A hot wash and agitation reduced it dramatically until it resembled a doll-sized sweater.

Ta-da! The result is incredibly soft—by far the nicest machine-felted pieces I’ve made so far. They feel luxurious and are wonderfully snug for cool days.
