I love sharing books with my children and watching their imaginations take flight as they explore stories of princesses, pirates, monsters and fairies. February 26 is National Fairy Tale Day, and to celebrate, I See Me! sent two wonderful personalized fairy books for my daughters to enjoy.
I See Me! sent their newest title, Sweet Dreams, Fairy, which I chose for my youngest daughter, Delaney.
In this personalized book the main character—your child—is a busy forest fairy who tends to her garden, shares dinner with family, gets ready for bed, and drifts off to sleep with the help of a magical bedtime story. Children will delight in seeing their name next to this adorable fairy and her charming pet, the glowworm, who acts as a nightlight when she’s ready for bed.

I was also able to upload a high-resolution photo to appear on the inside cover. Delaney was thrilled to see her own face in the book with a special message that read, “This book was made especially for Delaney.”
The website is straightforward and user-friendly, with simple fill-in-the-blank fields to personalize each title. You can preview every page of the book on the site, so you know the story’s tone and content before ordering—something I really appreciate.
The illustrations are vibrant and full of little details that Delaney enjoyed spotting, like a bunny tucked into the background.
My kids also liked that I could include the names of Delaney’s two brothers, Kurtis and Keegan, who appear with her throughout the story. They were a bit surprised to see their characters portrayed as girl fairies—an option to designate gender for additional characters would be a useful improvement.
For my older daughter Danica, I chose My Very Own Fairy Tale. This version is better suited to her age because it includes more reading and a slightly more elaborate storyline.
Fairies deliver letters one by one to spell out your child’s first and last name in rhyme in this beautifully illustrated personalized fairy tale. At the end, the child is crowned the fairy princess.
This book is especially meaningful because I could include a personal dedication to Danica at the start, and add her photo just like in Delaney’s book.
My Very Own Fairy Tale is playful and interactive: each fairy appears carrying a letter that contributes to spelling the child’s full name. For example, the Dewberry Fairy brings the D, the Angel Trumpet Fairy brings the A, and so on, until the name is complete. The fairies are each named after different flowers, which adds a charming botanical theme.
To personalize My Very Own Fairy Tale, I provided:

- An optional dedication from the sender
One nice bonus is a five-page section at the end that profiles the different fairies and the flowers they’re named after. Throughout the book, all the fairies appear in the illustrations, so children can enjoy a “find the fairy” activity as they read.
I value keepsakes like these personalized books because they make my children feel special. My husband still has personalized books his parents made for him when he was young, and they remain treasured mementos—these books will likely become the same for my daughters.
