Are you ready for spring cleaning? Our household went through a major cleaning session recently after everyone came down with an illness, so we combined regular spring cleaning with extra disinfecting to get things back to normal.
I clean weekly with special attention to the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen is where I spend the most time, so I regularly use Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes to sanitize counters and high-touch surfaces. Wipes are convenient because they prevent me from spreading germs around the way a reusable towel might.
I also make sure the counters and floors stay clean. I usually mop at least once a week, more often if needed, and I sweep the kitchen floor frequently.
Next, I focus on the bathroom — no explanation needed. With a young child in the house, bathrooms get messy quickly, so keeping supplies like Clorox Bleach® Spray and Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes within easy reach helps me tackle small messes between deeper cleanings. I store them safely but accessibly so quick touch-ups are simple.
My cleaning style is “clean as you go.” I don’t like leaving messes around, so dishes are usually in the dishwasher and put away within a few hours, and items don’t stay on the floor. I hate clutter, though I admit I hide things away in cabinets and drawers — out of sight, out of mind. At least the surfaces stay clean.
One big convenience for us is having a Dollar General nearby. They stock popular name-brand cleaning products, which makes stocking up simple. Some of the products you can find there include:
– Clorox Bleach®
– Cottonelle®
– Viva® paper towels
– All® Stainlifter®
– Snuggle® fabric softener
– Wisk®
Even better, Dollar General is running a Spring Cleaning Contest right now. It’s a great time to shop for supplies and enter for a chance to win — the grand prize includes new appliances, which would be an amazing upgrade.
